The Her Machine is very simple to operate and follows a two-step process: the selection of the product through the keypad and the subsequent payment by cash. Once the product is selected and the payment is completed, the product is dispensed and collected from the collection box.

This event was organized to observe menstrual hygiene management (MHM) day for spreading awareness regarding safe water, hygiene, and sanitation.
On the ocassion, a discussion was held on the theme of using technology to improve the access to feminine hygiene products. "The launch of the sanitary products vending machine was a revolutionary step towards creating a more inclusive space for women inside the university premises", the guests remarked. This discussion was followed by the practical demonstration of working of the Her Machine. Dr. Farah Ahamed, author of the book "Period Matters", voluntarily demonstrated the use of the Her Machine in front of the audience.
The Her Machine adopts to the consumer needs and the market trends of digital payment solutions. The cash machine can accept cash notes of Rs. 10, Rs. 20, Rs. 50, and Rs. 100. The cash acceptor is highly efficient in detecting counterfeit, torn or dummy cash notes. The digital payment methods reduce the risk of infection in such places.
The machine has a robust and compact design with an approximate height of 1143 mm and width of 914 mm. 13. Since the skin of the machine is customizable, therefore the marketing companies can customize it for advertisements. An 8’inch LCD display at the front is for playing video advertisements with relatively clearer screen resolution. The Her Machine can have a maximum capacity of 100 products on a complete refill while the capacity can completely be customized depending upon the size and type of napkins.
